sewing....

Sorry It's been so long since my last post, I've been really productive making lots of new pieces for my show; Lavender bags, needle cases and handmade cards, I've also made some little lace name tags too...maybe it's the sunshine that's given me an extra creative boost.

 

 Inbetween sewing I've been out in our garden planting herbs and salad leaves. We even had lunch outside today, which was so nice.

 

I'm looking forward to seeing what you've all been up to x

I'm going to be spending the next few days (and weeks) happily sewing away, as I have loads to do before my open studio exhibition starts on the 18th May. For details of my show click here, It would be lovely if you could make it! There are lots of other artists and craft people exhibiting in Oxfordshire Artweeks throughout the month of May, it's really inspiring to see what other people have been creating and their studio spaces.

bits & pieces

I've been working on a series of small collage pictures using my vintage stash of postcards, letters, lace, trims, buttons and beads. I'm really enjoying making them, creating a little story with these bits and pieces. I'm just finishing this one off by adding a few more beads.

 

I'm planning to frame them up in white washed wooden frames.

 

I bought some purple Viola flowers today, so I'm hoping the weather will stay nice so I can plant them in pots for the living room window sill.

shop update

I've just added these two little vintage crochet brooches to my etsy shop, which I've been meaning to do for ages.

They look lovely pinned to a spring coat or cardigan. I hope you like them!
